Ni Ha Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Ni Ha

Ni ha

I stand on corner
Pass of life I observe
Two women, dogs on leash
All are out for release
Indoor air, stagnant
Food inside, fragment
On their hinds the dogs jump
They're intend to say: "Hi"
Wider their nostrils
They smell family

Once again is morning
School time, I must leave
Living on fifth floor
We're using ‘elevator'
A woman; bundled up
Has hoody to keep warm
I see her as Chinese
Flat face, almond eyes
"Ni ha" is like honey
Soft, sweet, digestive
I'm afraid to spit
She can say "harassment"
Both of us are afraid
I look down toward earth

What are we, human?
I suspect; stone, land
I'm tired and want out
I rather being cloud
Reflections in mirage
Part of mist; one drop
Or maybe in desert
Particle in the dust
