New Zealand Prospered On Hard Work Ethic Poem by Terence George Craddock

New Zealand Prospered On Hard Work Ethic

New Zealand built on land development
New Zealand built on land managed resources
New Zealand built on colonial pioneering spirit

New Zealand prosperous from timber cut hauled from forests
New Zealand prosperous from gold won from rivers goldfields
New Zealand prosperous from coal mined in hillsides mountains

New Zealand built on harvested bodies whales fur seals slaughtered
New Zealand built on wool meat exported to class Mother England
New Zealand crucified when England joined CCE kiwi trade slashed

New Zealand built on land prospered from land management resources
New Zealand will prosper again with restoration land care farmed uses
New Zealand will boom selling high quality produce to Asian markets
