New York, I Love You Poem by Anika Shultz

New York, I Love You

Rating: 5.0

New York, New York
The love i gave you, the prayers i bestowed
I did warm you
But did you embrace me?

New York New York
The Dalton, Nightingale
The halls are runways for tomorrows glamorous young millionaires
Are you ready for a show?

New York, New York
I am young, though my life well spent
Never did i comprehend, why i was still lonesome
With all you're rivers of affluence

New York, New York
I came to you, i vision embedded in my mind
You did not disappoint
For those who have no morals

New York, New York
I could rule you
But am i ready?

New York, New York
i love you
