New Year's Deliberation Poem by Lydia Martin

New Year's Deliberation

As waters break in last year’s fury,
Life’s tide is turning in new year’s wake.
Sparkling tears of tomorrow’s promise
Shedding torrents of forgotten fears.

Crystalline thought of God’s creation,
Caught in limbo’s longing existence.
Flowing persistence of life long hope,
A knotted rope of glistening tears.

As waves crash on shores of destiny,
Vows of truth deliver life’s last lash.
Silent sound of yesterday’s promise
Releasing words, once hidden, now found.
