New Moon Poem by Mayjorey Dellosa Buendia

New Moon

Rating: 5.0

Cold-rocky body, no light of its own
Enjoyin its freedom, rotatin alone
Stars around her, callin her home
Hatin the leash and never daze…the howlers’ moan

Moonlight-shine darkened the sky
Dancin around the shadow’s cry
Then sunrise came to save the day
Reveal my home and guide the way

By sun’s power shadow has tamed
Solar eclipse he always aim
“Once in a blue moon” my scene now on earth
Leash I NOW accept, NOW I never irk

Passin between the sun and earth
Visible or invisible…the crescent’s birth
Lunar far side hidden within
Through sun’s illumination, can’t escape the sin.
