A new year has begun
and I am on to new things,
new thoughts,
with renewed strength
and new beginnings

I begin this year
knowing that I am blessed
and things will go my way

with thoughts of the one man
I've every truly loved
My one true love
I continue to pray
I continue to hope

I begin this year with thoughts
that before year's end
you'll be mine
and with me in your life
you too shall have new beginnings
