Never Ending Pain Poem by Robert Matkovic

Never Ending Pain

My heart burnt black
My mind torn asunder
Death swims in as a fish in water

From the moment I wake
To the moment I sleep
I feel only pain and begin to weep
My soul untuned, burnt to crisp
I bear naught strength, live only in risk

Day by day the pain remains
Sadness and despair run through my veins
Confused and ashamed, myself to blame
Thoughts of death are true and tame

One day all my pain shall subside
But by then only god will see my eyes.
