Never Back Down Poem by Leah Bonnett

Never Back Down

The girl froze in her tracks
A wolf standing before her
Glaring with its deep golden eyes
She glared right back
The wolf circled her baring its dagger like teeth
But the girl didn’t let that scare her
She got angry at the wolf
Angry that it thought it could frighten her
So angry she could spit fire
The wolf growling furiously
She picked up a stick and swung it before the wolf
Jumping back with a look of surprise the wolf took a step back
The girl swung again this time closer
The wolf seeing her fearlessness slowly retreated
The girl proud of herself for not backing down ran home
With a smile that was a mile wide
