Never Poem by Lyn Paul

Never

Rating: 4.5

I never did
Complain
I never did
Argue
I never spent
The money

I never said
No
I never made
A decision

Never
Have I fought

I always did
Everything
For You
Until the war started

I Never

Yes, war is always so difficult. A battle between two sometimes even more difficult. We can feel your regrets and your pain. Your search, I suppose, as to Why? So sad but well written.

Sometimes misunderstanding develops and bitterness brews up for no fault of ours! The answer to the question 'why'often comes back with no answers! Life is like that! Clean up your slate and never let the past haunt you! I can feel the frustration you experience in these lines!

Marriages/relationships are such a gamble these days. Both need to work at it, one trying alone is never enough. So many find themselves in a similar situation, society is in such a sorry state. You're still hurting, your poem expresses the pain..

Love this. Only those who have experienced the battle of words that fester into more...the accusations of those wanting to justify their own selfishness and insecurities...can appreciate the power and emotion behind your words.

Words like never, fought and war give an impression of depression and frustration in stead of peace. One should feel the expression of the heart of poetess or poet and should maintain peace. Nicely envisioned. Thanks for sharing.
