Necropolis Poem by Eva Beylich

Necropolis

Smoking place of decay and decline
souls should climb the sky
burial ceremony and resurrection
future swimming in purple

Deserted in glowing depths
mysteriously shattered and splintered
they drift in continuity
silhouettes accompany the journey

Lights burn and divide us
fruit and flowers die with us
last nourishment, last company
we are preparing departure
