Nature's Way - Poem by Maude Ni Ainnin

Stern silent shadows fall louder
than loftier things.

Impenetrable concrete greys
forever forged upon my
memory.

You silent swallows in your nests
flee and be free - your domestic
setting so unnatural, right there
above the deep freeze.

You should not chirp
above corpses.

But what would
you know of
respect?
