Nature's Portrait In Words Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Nature's Portrait In Words

Gathering nectar, bees sing in close harmony as
Red fox pauses, listening for the barking dogs.
Beautiful giraffe stands, head high in the sky,
Lion roars, he is king, watch him strut!
Through stretch of birches, in quiet blue sky,
Soars bald eagle; clouds rest on pine tops.
Serene deep waters, peace breaths while fish swim.
All by Creator's grace, all bow in Thanksgiving!

Dear Poet Who Loves to Sing, I love this poem. The images are so vivid and crisp. Nice form you've chosen. You might like my Time-lapse safari. Perhaps I will upload more of my nature poems... Thanks for the inspiration.
