Nature's Honeymoon Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Nature's Honeymoon

Buttercups for me, and daisies just for you.
Country fields are beautiful in sunny days of June.
Yonder, near the waterfall, upstream is like a dream,
Enhancing all the loveliness of nature's honeymoon
And over heath and mountain, purple heathers bloom.

My wandering friend, may God be with you.
We'll sing a chorus calm and simple, every note in tune.
By the water's edge, the shiny pebbles gleam,
How divine the wonderment of nature's honeymoon
As ripples on the rivulet reflect the sky at noon.

The day will fast be ending - then what shall we do?
Buttercups for me and daisies just for you?
Honeysuckle scent is good and clover's honey-sweet
With happy bees a humming to a humble bumble tune
But very soon we'll say adieu to nature's honeymoon.
