Natural Torment. (Knowledge Is Not Enough) Poem by Marcondes Pereira

Natural Torment. (Knowledge Is Not Enough)

Rating: 5.0

I-) Kill 'Carpe Diem'

I Undress myself of my filthy sobriety.
'Carpe Diem' is a soft lie that brings seconds of peace.
All I want is the highest place.
'All the knowledge must be thy' Said the mad entity.

II-) Oath To The Devil.
I promisse, If you give me the wisdom above the light..
...My damned soul will belong to your hellish fire.
' Don't forget, You will wander inside the darkest night.
So now, I will make your utopia come true... Your desire.'

III-) Redemption.
Love, love is the only truth... Road to liberty.
I broke my spirit and I lost my way.
I wlll live among the shadows of the day.
Love, love is the only truth... Seconds of sanity.

Marcondes, this is the third poem that I've read by you. I'm impressed. They've all been very thought provoking. The style of poetry that inspires me to write even more poetry. It's evident that Faust was in the back of your mind when you were writing this poem. You've done a great job. As you had with the other two.

You're a kind reader, thank you so much! When I wrote this poem I thought about Goethe's Faust. I am happy to know that you liked it.
