Natural Break Poem by Kent Krauss

Natural Break

Going out to enjoy walking around an area with trees will usually calm you
To the point of making the rest of your day dissolve, even if you had to stew
Over a variety of problems or everyday issues that were a bit unpleasant
During the working hours, irritated by chords that struck a bit dissonant
To your ears, as they included new piles of work or unexpected updates
To what you believed were completed assignments, finished templates
That now lay as future work, but at least for the present, they seem small
As your leisurely stroll takes you to a better place, far from the work squall
And allows you that needed peace, though brief in extent
Refreshing your attitude and mood, leaving you feeling much less bent
