Native Hearts Poem by norman hale

Native Hearts

Native Hearts

Native Hearts
Have a love for their lands
Then they have a deep love
For their woman or man

Native Hearts
Always stay true
And like their drums
Their hearts are beating too

Native Hearts
Are full of pride and love
In everything they do
Yet, honor the cue of a dove

Native Hearts
Are found all over this land
From the single Native
Down to their biggest clan

Native Hearts
Are sweet as can be
But, cross them just once
And anger you shall see

Native Hearts
Can be your best friend
Should you return the love
They'll be there till the end
