Narcotic 1/26 Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Narcotic 1/26

He took the drugs,
The weed was rolled,
Faces of a faceless mural passed,
Paradise was found as he passed it to him,
Himself,
Heights were sored,
A Panoramic view of one eye to the next,
As the world around him stood still,
Explanation to the reason why things were felt so deep,
Why the lights seemed so much brighter,
Why love came with such sweats, that soon followed an array of chills, felt across his skin,
They Often overflowed like lava from the top of volcanoes,
An height that had its lows,
As abnornal pains often struck his chest,
A doubtful worry of the genesis between his lips, and his woman of desire,
His head bared a lazy sway,
Side swipes that quickly followed a brightly lit phone,
A reality he couldn't escape as his thoughts trapped him,
Faces of a faceless mural passed,
His bottom lip burned as he felt loves sting,
Against the side of the building, where they were first introduced,
His mouth grew drier after each light that briefly, deeply, lit the cherry at the end of the stem, large tokes of smoke filled his lungs,
Tightly wrapped zip-lock bags hidden in loose designer jeans,
Drunk from the sips of smoke,
As he became infactuated with how she made him feel,
The silent trips they took,
Once one was gone, he'd roll another,
In an world he saught for release,
Dots that fastly began to connect,
Soon a mark was left,
Upon his left vein, a gateway that explored a world of eurphoria that numbed,
Once tasted,
His eyes hung low,
A vindictive deliverance,
Numb to anything else this paradox had to offer,
Faces of a faceless mural passed,
Left here, alone in this world,
Haunted by each thought that consumes the next,
That morning, heights sored from one to the next,
That night, I attended a funeral,
With eyes closed,
I felt my head against your shoulder,
With eyes open,
I felt myself laying against the ground,
Chasing the height of love,
Chasing the first buzz given as before,
No one else ever loved him,
