Nameless Meditation Poem by Lane Morein

Nameless Meditation

a little boy
is pounding
his shoe
against the pavement
across the street from my parents stoop
and part of me is
in awe
because this could be
a metaphor
for life
and its so ugly
that the situation
becomes beautiful
but i think hes just
getting a rock out of the sole
not the soul
no more
no
less
