Name From History Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Name From History

Rating: 4.5

I have heard it said, oh yeah oh yeah,
That Britain's William Penn 1644-1718,
Society of Friends and Quaker of the day
Was granted land in the USA
And became Founder of PENNsylvania
Providing a happier way for the suffering
And oppressed, in their world of grey.
A man of great fame to the rescue came
William Penn ~ such a noteworthy name.
