Mystery Traveller Sonnets - Sonnet 3 Poem by Roberto Echanes

Mystery Traveller Sonnets - Sonnet 3

This sonnet is dedicated to Kristin Laura Kreuk on the occasion of her birthday today, December 30th.

My shining star the silence sleeps tonight,
Keeps whispering sweet mellow dreams of you,
My soul flies high, my mind unbound just knew,
Just knew the secret to the mountain’s height.
Love’s boundless grace with sweet embrace tonight,
Reveals love’s face, such bounteous blissful joy;
When dreams of you suffuse my heart with light,
steals a kiss from rosy lips, O beauty of Troy.
My heart is dry, without your love life’s meaningless,
Make silence wake from deep slumber to say,
that love’s returned and fills my emptiness,
with love’s nectarous sea of happiness.
I’m Lazarus who begs a dropp o’ your love,
O my sweet rose this time your love I’ll have.
