Here's another flower for you;
Our garden spot has quite a few.
Let's give a hint or two and then
Let's have the fun begin again,

You may have some of these in your yard.
Here's hoping that solving won't be hard.
Only one thing is true:
Clues you might misconstrue.
Kim says that kind you must disregard.

Well done, Spock. And well done, Kim. Another brilliant Limerick following the Taxi Driver. I keep re-reading it and it makes my laugh every time! Never had that flower. Pity. It certainly has a gorgeous colour.

Spock is right. They are a magnificent, large flower but easily self seed

I think it's a Hollyhock. I had some, but they spread into the lawn, so I hope I never have them again.

You are correct. It is indeed a Hollyhock. I planted them years ago, but they never did well. They came back up very scrawny and scraggly every year and then I haven't seen them at all for a couple of years, but this year they came up bigger and prettier than ever. They have not as yet ventured out into the lawn. I think I must have a shy variety... :)
