Myself And I Poem by Samson Pitan

Myself And I

</>Friends we are filled with dreams alike
Yet am cut short of keeping mine alive
Days and days we founder
On indigenous ways we ponder
A reliable transition of change, closing ranges that keep our fantasy from becoming a dream
Together we climbed the so called step to maturity
Dragging along dreams that sometimes oppose stability
So sometimes we fall
But encouragements exchanged keep us tall
Our dreams are now arms length from reality
Overcoming stagnation, procrastination and humility
Embracing faith, time and agility
Then comes the evil truth of life
Locking me up holding me from keeping my part alive

But faith and time would keep me from falling behind
Long it may seem but soon I’m free
I’ll hold on to my part of the deal
To keep myself true and real
Faith it is, but the days are numbered
Far, maybe, but the rough days are over
My dreams are real
Hold on to your part, keep it real
And together our dreams will become reality
An assiduous entity
Complete in every detail
No approximation
