monks' chants turn into
cries for freedom

monks' helpless cries
rock hearts of world
Myanmar Upheaval
pathetic monks' cries
echo hearts of world
Myanmar Upheaval
where the pain is worse
than shackled with chains
Myanmar Upheaval
the day when cries of freedom
sound louder than the barrel of guns
