My Winter Charm Poem by Sheikh Ahmed Tijan Bah

My Winter Charm

Dear Big Black Jacket
I bought you all the way from Sarojini Market
From that dude with the bad breath
Hoping you can cover me like a blade is covered by a sheath

You cost me some huge amount
Was hesitant while I count
Even after flaunting my Hindi
With my hand over his shoulder, acting needy

I chose you over another good one
Only because of the hat
So this winter, you is all I want
Even though you'll make me look fat

When the temperature is below five
I need you to keep my body warm
Keep my temperature closest to twenty-five
Counting on you, Please be my winter charm

PEACE <3
