My Warning Label Poem by Paige Parker

My Warning Label

Warning:
You might want to know what's beneath the surface
Cause my outside and inside are nothing alike
I'm not the worst, but I'm not always the best
Make me mad, you won't see sunlight again
Make me sad, you'll wish you didn't see the next night
Break my heart, you'll break something else
Trash my friends, watch your back
Trash my mind, prepare for a lecture

Mock my thinking, how bout you just don't hear me talk?
If you have a problem with me, I'd rather you tell me
If you love me, I like it fully told and publicly proved
Now you know me, but did you want to?
Now you know me, or do you?
