My War Is Over Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

My War Is Over

Amphetamine soldiers in chronic cadence
Shield of claws for the palace of prowess
They come again like nephilim romance
Marching in squadrons of spite
Destiny and pride the Ogre anthems
The watchtowers filled with darkness
We have tampered with foundations
Science shrewd as a scorned witch

I will not fight for your declarations
My war is within the splits
Lucid morning has shed its poesy light
Only eight were recued on the ark
Hoards turn into gray toads
Chopin searches for a homeland
Idealism is a lofty cloud
Balmy notes on the black keys

Trees sway like moon gardens
No more flags of material movements
Dreams touch shores of the stars
Darkness is past, flees like a season
Borders of this new horizon
Validation like a growing flower
Somewhere darling you pray for me
My war is over
