My Voice Hit The Ceiling Poem by Elena Plotkin

My Voice Hit The Ceiling

It was an uncontrollable feeling,
when my voice hit the ceiling,
And I told you,
that I wanted you to go.
The chances of it repeating
is probably dead even,
but I can't let you,
ever, ever go.
I'd lose all feeling,
hit my head on that ceiling,
if I knew that you,
really wanted to go.
You may think I'm lying,
and rationalizing,
but I love you,
so please don't go!
