My Vampire Lover Poem by Quentin Hardison

My Vampire Lover

I'm in love with a lady vampire who is as beautiful as can be,
and it warms my heart knowing that she's in love with me
she has really beautiful hair, the prettiest that I've ever seen,
she has a look that is to die for if you know what I mean
her eyes are as beautiful as the flowers that bloom in the Spring,
with a voice so lovely, it makes me happy just to hear her sing
she has a very beautiful face with skin so soft and fair,
and when it comes to loveliness, nothing else can compare
when she smiles, I can see her fangs gleaming in the moonlight,
it is then that I offer my throat for her to bite
as she's drinking my blood, it is then that we become one with each other,
even though the pain is so extreme, I know it's the price I must pay my lover
once she's finished, I realize it was all worth what she took from me as my
lover and my wife,
because in return, she has given me the gift of eternal life
oh what lives we live, always having to avoid the sunlight,
sleeping during the day and living it up at night
as creatures of the night, we love to go out and paint the town red,
after all, what else can you do when you're one of the living dead
we have to make it home before the rising of the sun,
once we have finished doing what must be done
we'll sleep before going out to enjoy another night out on the town,
once we have made it home safe and sound
now that you know how vampires live, I bet you wish that you were
a vampire too,
well, don't worry, your wish just might come true, because drinking
your blood is one thing that I would just love to do
