My Valentine's Day Poem by Edwina Reizer

My Valentine's Day

Another day for hearts and flowers
but not in the warm springtime hours.
They appear in the shortest month of the year,
in February when Valentine’s Day is here.

February is still too cold for me
But becomes much warmer when I see
that the thought that was in his mind
is the thought I can always find.

Whether it’s February or a warm September
I know he will always remember.
I’ll read the words the card does say
and display his flowers on Valentine's Day
