My Trip Tothe Stars Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Heading onwards towards the stars,
Travelling through the Milky Way,
Not the name of a chocolate bar,
But a journey along the celestial way.

Seeking thoughts and words to form,
Into lines with rhyme and scan,
Making verses of more poems,
Is it another eternal plan?

Whither from this terrestrial life,
My soul does wander heaven bound,
With such a furtive imagination,
Will my verse be eventually found?

What further thoughts will find me,
Make sense and appeal to me?
To create more wondrous verses,
And tell to you a new story.

Searching further into space,
Seeing planets, stars and more,
Will it be a new constellation,
Or will my poem crash to the floor?
