My Time Alone Poem by Linda Patino

The restfulness of the earth’s existence takes my breath away.
My time alone is where my heart and soul find their way.
My eyes embrace the beauty from across and over the land.
I’m captivated by the sensation, and tranquility from where I stand.

I set my soul free to roam without a care.
I absorb the gentleness of nature’s breeze rustling through my hair.
I catch radiant rays of the sun beaming in between the trees.
I observe clusters of sparkling like diamonds pouring over me.

I behold the joyous sounds of flowing waters from a far away distance.
I grasp with amazement its fascinating existence.
I closely watch birds fly dreamily through the sky with sounds of delight.
I can see the beauty of their open wings gliding up so high in flight.

Refreshing dewdrops that surface to the earth coat my soul with gleam.
As I close my eyes I thank God for the success to my every dream.
The serenity of nature synchronizes my heart with peace.
In return to the reality of my life, I can face the world with a sense of relief.
