My Sun Poem by Libby Bechtel

My Sun

Face stoned in the sun
Breath blowing in the wind

Arms like blankets
My hand in yours, like putting together a heart

Voice sweet as honey
Skin smooth as silk

Eyes are portals opening to bliss
Lips are clouds, where I long to stay

Looking in the mirror, it's you that I see
You & I are intertwined
Without the other, it would be as if half were empty
Our love paints each sunrise, full of emotion
With the sun shining down on me, I feel sun kissed
An endless night is what my world would be without my sun
