My Spirit My Soul Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

My Spirit My Soul

Not in the span
Of my short wings
Neither in the stride
Of my slow walk
Not in the dusk
Of my earthy looks
You won't find it
In your books

My spirit
My soul
That permeates
My whorl
My zeal
You'll feel
Within
My field.

Tune in
To my world
Dig deep
Into dirt
Far Beneath
The sandy dune
A verdant
Brook in the stones
And my self
There Lies naked
Broken parts
Will you restore?
