My Sister, And My Best Friend Poem by Alycia Forbes

My Sister, And My Best Friend

Growing up
Friends came and went
Whether good or bad
They left imprints

Friend after friend
Black, white, or brown
Freely I gave trust
Always getting let down

Each one told me
'I'll always be there'
But when times got hard
They were nowhere

Nowhere to be found
Nowhere to be heard
I was left all alone
To fight without a sword

I came to realize
That all girls are caddy
Only caring for themselves
And their baby daddy

I met this girl
In the fall of 2007
I, a sophomore at SHSU
And she, a freshman

Exactly alike
We clicked right away
Becoming inseperable
Together every day

We rock the parties
With our boys from ATO
Pickin out hott guys
And dissin all the hoes

Kickin ass in beer pong
Gettin totally lit
And making our own phrases
Like the infamous 'shark shit! '

Not once a dull moment
Always out and about
I can continually trust her
Never with any doubt

I'll miss you dearly
When I have to leave
But this isn't the end
So no tears Big C

Chelsea Lane Hale
My best friend and sister
I love you girl
Always and forever

Joyous are the moments spent with friends. Truthfully came out in your free-flowing verse.
