My Sandcastles (Haibun) Poem by Nizamettin Esen Haymanali

My Sandcastles (Haibun)

On the beach, under this evening sun, I strongly feel that I’m new one with every passing instant while docile sands tickle my bare legs. And, I slowly walk into my lonely dreams dragging me softly towards my memories. Bittersweet, impalpable and devoted memories.

Timid sunbeams tenderly brush, caress and warm my face. And a sudden gentle wind unconsciously brings me your candid smile, like an eloquent glimpse, through my swirling thoughts. I feel again the faint scent of your skin intoxicating my heartbeat.

And, this immense blue of the infinite ocean always reminds me of your serene eyes illuminating my diaphanous soul.

When the sun faded
away on the horizon
your eyes invade me
