My realization has just now begun
My life's not about what can't be undone
But trying to change the future beginning now
And figuring out what my purpose is about
My past I could hold; never let go
Causing this sadness and weakness to grow
Anger and fear could be my core
Fighting this never ending internal war
Rising up in me hatred and pain
Darkness inside that I can't explain
Keeps me in the chains of my days
Tangled up with no escape
But as I see the pain in myself
I wish to be free from this earthly Hell
So that my heart will bare less sin
And in myself I can believe in
Please show me how to start anew
Show me how to love as you do
I can't focus on my past every moment
I need a new fresh from life as I know it
I can't go back to the old man in me
And today I will set that old man free
I will tell that man there is new hope
I will tell that man he is not alone
That man is created in the image of God
That man is much more than smoke and fog
His trembling hands will no longer shake
His sore tattered heart will no longer ache.
This man can not correct his scarred past
But can accept a future that will truly last
His steal chains will be released forever
For he has accepted God's ultimate power
And in the end he will be renewed
In the end he will have a soul anew
Unending forgiveness is here as I can see
From my living Hell I am set free.
