My Prof's View About Romeo And Juliet Poem by RIC BASTASA

My Prof's View About Romeo And Juliet

by all means his jaw
is wide, and i made the right guess,
my literature prof is
German half American
raised somewhere in
Bronx, but his ways
are those of a cowboy
smart and strong and
too honest about his
views on love, and too
critical about teenage
lovers and so as expected
and consistent with his
lectures for the past
semesters, when he
dissects Romeo and
Juliet, chapter by chapter
though admiring Shakespeare
this he says: it is all about youth
and family and trouble but
essentially R & J is nothing
but about stupidity.
