My Prideful End Poem by Aaron Lynn

My Prideful End

This coil shall end abruptly
By my own empowered hand.
The curse of aging will not take me,
I transcend its dishonoring vice.
I have scaled life's vast mountains
And left my mark upon the world.
My legacy is now complete.
I finalize my contribution.
Inside a candlelit circle,
With my life's teachings in my grasps,
I escape the life I've emptied
To the bottom of the glass.
