My Preciousness Poem by Chukwuemeka Ogbu

My Preciousness

I thought I should write a sacred love song to you
My Preciousness
Word-streams from the vines of my soul do gush forth
Like torrents of golden joy
When I feel you real in the un-sensory realm
Oh, the crisp sweetness
Of the extra-sensory embrace
Coming in touch with the light-
The feel of a resurrection-
I glow in the immortal glory - a taste of eternity in time

I hear the angels sing the hallowed Name
A million tongues
In un-human unison,
All with one voice sing,
'Let heaven's bests be bestowed on Him
The earth only in His honour
May yet replenish her springs
A million times over
Let His praises ring'
