My Portrait Poem by RAJ NANDY

My Portrait

MY PORTRAIT

The artist had painted with both skill
and grace,
A life-like image of my three - dimensional
face!
I framed it up, and hung it on the wall,
It stares down at me, looking rather tall!
It serenely looks through those deep-set
eyes,
While divergent thoughts within me,
flutters and flies!
It mirrors my face without any worry,
I feel it sympathizes, and even feels sorry!
But it shall ever remain luckier than me,
As time will prove it, you shall see!
For it shall never age or grow old,
With a smile fixed on it's face,
Though mine shall grow cold!
My 3-D self now lies forever confined,
To out- live me in it's 2-D frame - work,
All frozen in time!
