My Own Worst Enemy Poem by Zack Schaefer

My Own Worst Enemy

I cry out,
no answer

Alone, I stand for what is right
Alone, my enemies I fell
Alone, I fight the bloody fight
Alone, I clash against this hell.

Hark,
a light in the distance

Clinging to the hope
to the longing
that I'll no longer be alone.

I turn around
to face my enemy
seeing them clearer
I find no foes
only a mirror
