My Octopus Love Poem by Prodip Basak

My Octopus Love

In a very fine day, I was forced to fall in love
With a mermaid,
While I was walking along the bank,
I could her find.

The more I saw the more I drove
Into the deepest corner of my hope.

I drove and came out again and again
To take breathe like a dolphin,
But she didn't care of me
Because she lived in that cold sea.

I tried to impress singing a song
It was not short but little long,
Her tone was sweeter than I,
She continued making me somewhat shy.

My Love was like a octopus
She grasped me but I hoped too much
The more I saw the more I drove
Into the deepest corner of my hope.
