My Obituary



For years I'd been browsing obituary columns
To rejoice at your death.
Newspapers disappointed me every morning.
In anger I tore up every paper with an obituary column.
Finally it has appeared, to my dismay
Announcing my own death, carrying my name and picture!
Its caption read "He and his vengeance no more! ".
You too attended my funeral.
