My Mountain Poem by maddie root

My Mountain

Rating: 5.0

I sit upon a hill,
listening to the birds,
the whole world seems still.
Sitting upon my mountain.

I drift off to sleep,
floating on a cloud,
There is nothing to make a peep,
Gazing off into the distance,
the world has fallen asleep,
Sitting upon my mountain.

Sometimes when things get too muted,
a deep sound comes from my cello at night,
Sitting upon my mountain.

I am the center of the universe,
the top of the world,
sitting upon my mountain.
