My Mother My Hero Poem by Tynea' Carpenter

My Mother My Hero

My mother My hero you left me through a narrow window
when I heard the news it felt as if I was hit in my stomach by a wrecking ball
my legs hit the floor my head hit the wall
to see my hero, my mother, my pastor, my bestfriend laying there without life
hurt me like a sharp two edged knife.
My everything is gone forever never to return again
but I know your with the Lord in Heaven
so to you I say this yes I remember that you will always love me and u will forever remain in my head and in my heart
my mother my hero my everything!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My pastor is my spiritual mother and she passed on feb.11th suddenly, she was healthy by all means so for her to die was unexpected and took a toll on me and my life and I found myself not wanting to go on and not wanting to live, but that's not what she would have wanted, she would want me to go on and fulfill my life and be what God and she knows I can be.
