My Mother
My mother is arrogant,
And sheer adamant.
But she is my mother dear,
The one very near.
Under her feet is my heaven,
Compassionating this raven.
She is the one who will surely cry,
From her if I try to fly.
Dear Abdulrazak, such a lovely poem. A poem from your heart, that touches my soul. One of the most beautiful poems I have ever read and certainly one of my favourites. Mothers give us everything and ask for nothing, and under their feet is truly the pathway to heaven.
