My Love Flies. Poem by R. K. Hart

My Love Flies.

Love makes giants out of wimps, men out of boys. Young men feel more manly, young women feel more glamorous. Love makes the heart take flight.

My love flies gently from cloud to cloud,
My searching heart, it cries aloud.
The desperate heart buys the devils creed,
The patient heart cries wait the angels heed.

My love flies like a feather on the breeze,
Until a truthful resting place does appease.
A harbor provides secure rest in a storm,
My love is secure in you til forever morn.

My love flies across the sky in joy,
Like a summer sunset as beautiful as Troy.
Helen had her beauty unsurpassed,
My loves beauty leaves Helen aghast.

My love flies nay wafts gently to it’s bed,
My passion dominates both heart and head.
I desire no longer in search to fly,
For loves joy brings tears to my eyes.

A love traveling through life searching for the right place to land, a lovely poem. Very nice to read and very nice rhyming.

i especially liked these lines: My love flies gently from cloud to cloud, My searching heart, it cries aloud...................how's the view up there, Ray? Helen had her beauty unsurpassed, My loves beauty leaves Helen aghast. ................. .......................... not sure i understand, but i love the rhyme! i had a childhood playmate, Helen, but she did not live in Troy, New York, usa. My love flies nay wafts gently to it’s bed, My passion dominates both heart and head. ............... gotta be careful not to lose your head here, Ray! nice rhyming for the most part; what else could i ask? may your love always find a happy home i'll put this offering of yours into the August showcase on my PH site. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - as to these lines: “Love makes giants out of wimps, men out of boys. Young men feel more manly, young women feel more glamorous. Love makes the heart take flight.” What Love Did To ME Love made this 'giant' a 'wimp'. In lieu of running, now I limp. Once again I'm JUST a little boy, as my “Love” treats me just like a toy! If younger, I might be more manly. Now I behave much more blandly. Though my home-boss may lack glamor, she ain’t at all short …on CLAMOR! And my heart might now take flight....., IF..... it were not filled with so much fright! bri :)
