My Love Can'thave Poem by Michael Peterson

My Love Can'thave

Waiting for the morning to arrive
Seeing your beautiful smile
Those sassy melting eyes
The beautiful body that you carry with grace
To hear your voice and laughter, brings me smiles
To touch your soft hands, feel your warmth is heaven
To gaze in your eyes bring the dreamsI have for you
Dreaming of a romantic date or cuddling by the TV
Just being with you turns the world around
Doors between us keep the desire away
Distance is the way to ease the pain
Wondering if we are lust, not love
Further away than I can handle
Seeing the hurt you go thru and the sadness
Wondering if I could bring you the happiness
The love that you desire and deserve
Since you can make any guy's dream
But no luck of love for you
Dreaming of making love to you is just a dream
Walking hand in hand thru the park is fading away
Will I ever get to love you the way you want to be?
As you walk away I am speechless
Do I ever get the nerves to say those words to you
Hidden in my mind, fading lie the dreams
Farther you go the tears inside flow
Memories of you I cherish, till the end of time
Am I going to lose my mind for you
Should I let you goor see if the love is there?
Changes would be made in my life
For the better or for the worse
Knowing you feel the way I do or not
Do I let the dream endor does it go for years
Time could be running out
Please let me open my heart to you
Silly as it may, love it as you will
Break it if you have to
I will understand, we are friends
Then friends, we'll stay one heartless
As you fade away and I can say is
Bye my friend, with hidden tears and a broken heart

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We all have that one we think about. What if we had open the door to see what would happen. Would it be what we dreamed of or the heartbreak that it really could be.
