I know to you I made a few mistakes
but never gave to you broken promises
every word that I had spoken was true
babe when I said that I love you
and that my love would always remain
I know you been let down before
that you have been hurt by love
and cried more than a heart takes
you listened to the silence of night call
as you watched the tears as they fall
trying to catch them while they hit the floor
and let the desert stars just burn out above
feeling love would never come again
but through a winters warm wind
I give to you the calm of a summers rain
my love for you in forever's kisses
