My love: that rejoiced in your being
And lit up when darkness fell
My love: that knew your weaknesses
And unleashed the never fading grace
My love: that preserved your soul
When in the Garden of Eden,
Death fell upon humanity.
My love; that founded King David’s kingdom,
And a seed was planted, hope was established
My love; that wiped away Egypt
And swept away the wrath of slavery
That the seed of Abraham might be free.
My love; that held Israel as an infant
And dwelt with evil like fading smoke
My love; that upholds the sun by day
And wakes the moon and stars by night
My love; that restored eternity
And introduced salvation for humanity
My love; that bore the passion
And paid the ransom that no man can fathom…
My love for you will never end!
